ORGANISATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
About me
I'm a mother, a psychologist, and an early year’s advocate, driven by a passion to help foster a society where equality, diversity, and compassion thrive, and the people who need it most can strive.

This space is the culmination of my research for impact and purpose.

When my work and motherhood collided
For years, two parts of my world ran on parallel tracks: my professional life as an Organisational Psychologist improving systems for children and families, and my personal journey through motherhood with my two daughters.

Then, during a COVID lockdown in 2020, those tracks collided.

Preparing to return to work after my second daughter’s birth, I was overtaken by questions that felt both deeply personal and universally shared among the talented mothers around me:

Why is this so much harder for us? How do I be the mother I want to be while working? and why is no one at work talking about this reality?

I realised my professional skills gave me the tools to do more than just ask these questions—they gave me the tools to investigate, understand, and help change the answers.
Moving from curiosity to committment
So, in 2021, with a toddler and a preschooler, I took on one of my biggest challenges yet: a PhD!
My goal was to unveil the "real lives of professional working mothers" without guilt or shame.

This research isn't just an academic pursuit; it’s a mission grounded in positive psychology to bridge the gap between social expectations and the realities of modern work. It’s dedicated to building a more equitable society that truly understands the role of caregiving in the context of a career.

The challenges facing working mothers are not women's issues—they are societal issues.
By addressing these barriers together in our families, workplaces, and communities, we can create systems that empower mothers, which in turn, benefits everyone.

Putting research into action
Researcher, Strategist and Consultant
My commitment is to take the science from my research and my 20 years of experience to help workplaces and communities build environments where women can thrive.
This website is the bridge between my research and the translation of my research for action and impact.

For workplaces, organisations and systems that want to unlock the full potential of working mothers, let's discuss how my research could take you from own curiosity to action.
For working mothers themselves, who want to understand and learn from the science to drive their own change and advocate for their own needs.
For communities that want to make a difference for a more inclusive and supportive society connecting mothers and families navigating work and parenthood. For more information on my community venture workHers - visit the website here.
